Border State Dicamba Training Will be Recognized in North Dakota

BISMARCK (Michelle Mielke) – Border area applicators that take a Dicamba-specific training in Minnesota or South Dakota will be allowed to apply the product in North Dakota without taking a separate North Dakota training session. But there is a condition.

They will need to carry evidence of the training in the field and be prepared to provide it to inspectors upon demand.

Non-resident applicators seeking reciprocity for purposes of obtaining a North Dakota pesticide certification may submit evidence of Dicamba-specific training with their application for reciprocity. This credential will then be incorporated into their electronic certification record.

Contact the NDSU Extension Pesticide Program at 701-231-7180 or 701-231-6388 or at ndsu.pesticide@ndsu.edu to fill out the proper paperwork.

All applicators are reminded that they must follow North Dakota-specific restrictions as well as the federal label.
