BISMARCK, N.D. – Applications for students in grades 7-12 are now being taken for the North Dakota Main Street Initiative Student Advisory Committee. This committee will be part of the Healthy, Vibrant Communities pillar of the Main Street Initiative and will focus on allowing youth to share ideas to help build the community they want to call home in North Dakota.
Interested students should be involved in their community and be willing to share ideas for improvement of North Dakota’s communities. Applications can be submitted online at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NDStudent. Applications are being accepted through April 27, 2018.
The committee will convene at times convenient for student members to attend and hold approximately five virtual meetings annually.
Governor Doug Burgum’s Main Street Initiative is focused on community driven (grassroots) growth, and founded on three pillars: a skilled workforce; smart, efficient infrastructure; and healthy, vibrant communities.
