Dwaine Henrich elected Mayor of Jamestown

The City of Jamestown elected a new mayor on Tuesday Night during the election. The unofficial election results showed that Dwaine Henrich defeated incumbent Katie Anderson by a vote of 1282 to 1100. Joshua Meade was also running for Mayor of Jamestown and he received 408 votes. The results are unofficial until canvassing is completed.

Residents also voted David Steele to the Jamestown city council. Steele defeated Kevin Walker by a vote of 1746 to 833. Steele will take the seat left vacant by Ramon Gumke. Heinrich and Steele will be sworn in at the next city council meeting which is scheduled for June 26th.
