Toby Keith bowed out of his scheduled appearance at a cancer benefit over the weekend in Paso Robles, NM as he continues to battle cancer himself. He was to receive the Second Annual Lifetime Achievement Award at the SabesWings “Strike Out” benefit. A spokesman for SabesWings said, “He is still going through recovery and it is a tough week.”
In June, Toby revealed that he he was diagnosed with stomach cancer last fall. He has since been undergoing treatment, including “chemo, radiation and surgery,” Toby shared on social media at the time.
All of concerts for this year have been canceled.
