Former Runaway June lead singer Naomi Cooke Johnson is a new mom! In addition to recently announcing her journey as a solo artist, she recently shared the fact that she and husband Martin Johnson “made a baby,” according to a social media post in which Naomi details her very long and difficult labor. The baby's gender, name and birthdate have not been released. This is the couple's first child.
Naomi shared several pictures from her pregnancy, during labor and finally, with her newborn baby. She wrote in part, “I started off with a planned home water birth. Me and 9 of my siblings were born at home, 5 of us in a bath tub, and it was important to me to give my child a similar birth experience. After an unexpected 60 hours of labor, complications arose and I ended up delivering at the hospital.”
Naomi's debut solo single, “Girls Of Summer,” will be released on Friday (June 23rd).
