RON JORDAN, KSJB LOCAL NEWS-

A stallion born at Theodore Roosevelt National Park in 2019 has been captured and is confined to a holding pen until he can be removed as a “nuisance animal.”   Park officials say the horse was harassing visitors and visitors’ horses at the horse camp campground.  Animal advocates say the 5-year-old horse is a bachelor stallion trying to recruit mares to form a band, natural behavior the park is improperly punishing. They are asking  supporters to contact the park to urge the stallion be allowed to stay there. So far more than 500 people contacted the park and North Dakota’s congressional delegation.
