The Minnesota Timberwolves are coming off arguably their best season in franchise history, and the team has decided to lock down the nucleus of it all with a contract extension.

Chris Finch who took over the T-Wolves full time in 2021, has amassed a record of 160-127 while with the wolves and lead the team to its first conference championship in 20 years, while also adding three straight playoff appearance’s to his resume as the Wolves head coach.

Finch agreed to a 4 year contract extension with the Wolves on Monday afternoon keeping him in Minnesota through the 2027-2028 season.

Though blood may not be in the conversation YET, Finch has brought his sweat and arguably his tears to this Minnesota team after tearing his ACL during the playoffs while taking on Phoenix. Finch has brought consistency and leadership to a young team featuring league stars Anthony Edwards, and Karl Anthony Towns, while also giving hope to the state of Minnesota and its fans that a title may soon be coming home to the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
