North Dakota State University and the North Dakota Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education program are inviting new and current farmers to a training event that aims to shift farmers into certified organic production of grain, oilseeds, and pulses.

The event will begin on July 15th through the 16th, beginning at 9 am, and will also focus on spotlighting medium to large scale row crop production.

Some topics that will be discussed include developing an organic system plan, the exploration of markets for organic production, and the considerations to think about when transitioning to that type of operation.

Others in attendance will also learn about working with organic consultants and the event promises to educate and foster a community of young farmers wanting to make the switch to more organic methods in their farming operations.
