The North Dakota Department of Commerce is reminding communities across the state about the approaching deadline to apply for the Regional Workforce Impact Program (RWIP). Applications for the program, which aims to tackle local workforce challenges through innovative solutions, must be submitted by July 9, 2024.
RWIP grants are designed to empower regional workforce entities to develop and implement creative strategies that address pressing employment needs. Funded by the 68th North Dakota Legislative Assembly, the program focuses on enhancing economic stability by directly addressing workforce shortages.
Janna Pastir, Commerce Workforce Deputy Director, emphasized the program’s potential impact, stating, “The RWIP program is a game-changer for North Dakota communities. We’ve seen impressive proposals in the past, and we’re eager to see the innovative solutions communities will bring forward this round.”
Key priorities of RWIP include supporting immediate workforce needs, fostering collaboration among regional partners to maximize resources, and promoting initiatives that benefit diverse communities and populations across the region.
Commerce officials underscored their commitment to addressing workforce challenges and promoting economic growth statewide. Interested parties are encouraged not to miss the opportunity to apply and contribute to their community’s development through RWIP.
