The race for mayor in the small town of Dazey, North Dakota remains tied nearly a month after votes were cast. The town of 76 people, located northwest of Valley City, voted evenly for Daryl Kunze and Shawn McLintock in June. Both candidates received 19 votes in the initial tally, and they’ve remained tied tat that total after a recount on July 1. Now, the contest will be decided by the Dazey Board of Commissioners. A decision is expected to be announced within the next week.
