Former Jamestown Blue Jay, and University of Jamestown basketball player Mason Walters has been invited to the NBA Summer League by the Phoenix Suns.

Walters would win the Mr. Basketball in North Dakota award, while winning a state championship with Jamestown, and became the University of Jamestown’s all time leading scorer and rebounder before transferring to Wyoming for a year where he averaged 12.2 points, 5.4 total rebounds, and 2 assists per game.

The Summer League is an organization by the NBA for teams to play different rosters that don’t include their regular season rosters inviting rookies, second year players, and G-League affiliates to play for a chance to be considered making a regular season roster when the NBA season comes around again.
