Believing in Himself, Anthony Edwards and Team USA

Team USA began their full team practices in Las Vegas this weekend, and an up and coming NBA Star believes he’s the best option when it comes to bringing home the gold metal to the United States.

Anthony Edwards accompanied by a plethora of NBA superstars will travel to Paris in the coming weeks on a mission for retribution after the team was eliminated from the tournament in 2020. Lebron James, Stephen Curry, Kawhi Leonard, Jayson Tatum, are just a few of the names heading to Europe with Anthony Edwards, but despite ending his NBA season on a rather lower note, Anthony Edwards looks to raise the bar, and be the reason the US captures another gold medal in the Olympics.

When asked about the impact he brings to the court, Edwards told reporters, “I’m still the No. 1 option, Y’all might look at it differently, but I don’t. I just go out there and be myself … Shoot my shots, play defense. They’ve got to fit in to play around me. That’s how I feel.”

Edwards is coming off an MVP-like season, averaging 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists per game while also leading the Timberwolves to the Western Conference Finals.
