National Grid Renewables has brought South Dakota’s largest solar power farm online in Pennington County, called Wild Springs which is a 128-megawatt solar farm that will manage the central United States’ electric grid and wholesale power market. Wild Springs will provide approximately $29.5 Million in direct economic impact, which includes 12 million in tax revenues in the first 20 years of operation.

The plant will provide clean electricity to roughly 37,000 homes in Central US, also removing annually 190,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions.

And a unique thing to add, National Grid Renewables will also contribute 500,000 dollars to the New Underwood School district over a period of 20 years in operation.
