Valley City, ND – Valley City State University has introduced an accelerated program for students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees in Sport Leadership and Management. The program combines three years of undergraduate coursework at VCSU with two years of graduate studies at North Dakota State University.
“Sport Leadership and Management is a popular career path for students aiming to impact the sports industry and their communities positively,” said Dr. Rachelle Hunt, a VCSU professor. “This program enables students to enhance their resumes with a master’s degree from NDSU.”
Graduates can pursue careers as athletic directors, sports facility managers, sport marketing specialists, public relations managers, athletic coaches, sport business analysts, and more. Job market data indicates growing opportunities in these fields both regionally and nationally.
“This partnership exemplifies how North Dakota University System schools can collaborate to create more opportunities for students,” said Larry Brooks, Vice President for Academic Affairs. “We aim to provide educational experiences that ensure our students are well-prepared for the workforce.”
VCSU also offers certificates and minors in athletic coaching, strength and conditioning, sports marketing, marketing, and digital marketing to help students achieve their career goals.
