Country star Lauren Alaina just shared the tragic news that her father, J.J. Suddeth, has died unexpectedly. In an Instagram post on Wednesday (July 24), the 29-year-old singer announced the sad passing of her father. “We lost my daddy last night,” she wrote. “And I really don’t have the words yet.” Alaina is currently on tour supporting Jason Aldean, and she shared that her upcoming shows are canceled as a result.
“I want to let y’all know that I’m not able to play the three shows I had scheduled for this weekend in Savannah, Virginia Beach, and Charlotte as I am going home to be with my family. Thank you for your prayers and understanding. Pinky.” Alaina signed off with the nickname her dad gave her, Pinky, as a tribute to her late father.
