Arrest Made After Fatal Moorhead Shooting

The investigation into a Wednesday shooting in Moorhead has led to an arrest.   35-year-old Jamal Ahmed was apprehended by Moorhead Police Thursday afternoon.   MPD said Ahmed surrendered without incident, with the Red River SWAT team on site to assist.   He has been booked into Clay County Jail on charges of murdering 37-year-old Frank Torres, who was shot in the head and killed on Wednesday morning.   MPD said Ahmed and Torres knew each other, with Ahmed present at the time of the shooting.   The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting in the ongoing investigation.
