Former Chiefs Defensive Lineman Isaiah Buggs is in the news for being charged with Animal Cruelty in the state of Alabama.
Buggs was sentenced to ‘Hard Labor’ after a Judge found Buggs guilty of animal cruelty after he was arrested twice in June. Reports say that Buggs left dogs in a house for several days with no food in water, and in an incident not connected to the animal cruelty charges, also was in the news for domestic violence after dragging a woman down a flight of stairs.
Buggs’ Hard Labor Charge was for a year, including 60 days needed to be served, with the other 300 days being suspended two years pending the behavior of Buggs’ in the meantime.
Buggs is not allowed to own or use firearms as well as not being able to own any dogs or cats.
Buggs would be released from the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad on June 24th, Buggs’ attorney was quoted saying, “The Buggs legal situation is confusing and bears explaining but it has not concluded yet.”
