The Two Century old equipment manufacturer, John Deere, has announced continuing layoffs, now taking away more jobs for an undisclosed amount of salaried employees of the company.
The company let employees know through email, that there time with the company is coming to an end, adding to over 2000 workers already cut loose from the company, with most cuts coming from the states of Iowa and Illinois.
Deere issued a statement after the layoffs saying, “This reduction in product demand and increased operational costs have unfortunately forced us to make tough decisions including layoffs at John Deere production facilities and reductions in our global salaried workforce.”
Deere has also offered severance packages to those affected for up to 12 months based off years of service.
