We are less than a day away from the first preseason game of the 2024 NFL season, and here’s some more tidbits of information coming out of training camp.

  • The Minnesota Vikings did add some depth to their very short cornerback roster, signing ex-Broncos cornerback Fabian Moreau per sources. Moreau started 11 games at cornerback for the Broncos last season, collecting 1 interception and 7 passes defensed. Moreau has also spent time in his 7 year career with the Washington Redskins, Atlanta Falcons, and New York Giants.
  • The Chicago Bears had a couple of bulletins come across during camp this week. First, announcing that the organization and wide receiver D.J. Moore agreed to a contract extension signing him to a 4-year $110 Million Dollar extension making it the largest contract in the history of the Chicago Bears.
  • The Bears also announced that rookie quarterback and number one overall draft pick Caleb Williams will NOT make his debut this Thursday during the Hall of Fame Game against the Houston Texans. Williams and ALL Bears starters will not play in the game, and we will have to wait another week for the debut of Williams.
  • Speaking of starters not playing. New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh has stated that he feels starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers will not play at all this preseason and will make his debut on the field Week 1 when the Jets take on the San Francisco 49ers. Saleh said it isn’t anything set it stone, but its his ‘instinct’ that will Rodgers will not play till then. Also according to Saleh, Rodgers may still play the Jets’ third preseason game against the Giants to shake off the rust, but that is yet to be determined by the team or by Rodgers.
