By Ryan King Aug 1, 2024 | 1:02 PM

A quick update to some NFL training camp news, before the Hall of Fame Game later this evening!

Cleveland Browns running back D’Onta Foreman was taken to a local hospital via ambulance after taking a hit to the head during practice on Thursday Morning. Foreman was participating in a special teams drill, and took a direct hit to the head, that resulted in him feeling pain in his neck. The team took a knee and said a prayer for D’Onta after the conclusion of practice.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs the highest paid offensive lineman in NFL history after the team and Wirfs agreed to a 5 year extension worth $140.6 Million Dollars. Wirfs has been an anchor for the Buccaneers offensive line since being drafted in 2020, playing 100% of offensive snaps for Tampa Bay in 2023.

The NFL also announced that the Pro Bowl Games will be returning this coming season. The event will be held in Orlando, Florida. The games will feature competitions between some of the leagues biggest stars, and NFL fans liked it, over 55,000 attended the games last season.

And the New England Patriots and Linebacker Matthew Judon have reportedly moved forward, and have had good talks with the player, after Judon was filmed during an outburst with his head coach Jerod Mayo over contract disputes Judon was having with the Pats front office. Coach Mayo confirmed that the two sides are making progress on the deal, and that he understood Judon’s frustration saying, “I remember as a player, it’s always a difficult time when you go through contract negotiations and things like that, I have a great relationship with Matthew. I have a great relationship with the players. We’re moving forward.” It has not been made clear whether Judon will receive punishment for his outburst earlier this week.
