Another update of what’s going on in the NFL World, with training camp coming towards an end and most teams preparing for their first preseason game.

Los Angeles Chargers Quarterback Justin Herbert was announced with an injury that could sideline him for the next couple of weeks and causing him to miss some preseason time. Herbert came down with a plantar fascia injury in his right foot, that has him currently in a walking boot, and will miss next couple of weeks of practice. Former NDSU Bison starting quarterback Easton Stick will take the reigns in the meantime. Herbert is projected to start week 1 for Los Angeles when the Chargers open up the season at home versus Las Vegas.

Per sources Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith will NOT miss anytime after Smith undergone some testing on Friday for a number of injuries that Smith did not disclose. Smith had a hard practice on Tuesday where he developed the injury per reports. IF Smith is to miss time during the season, Sam Howell will be able to jump in for the time being. Howell started all 17 games last season while he was in Washington.

And with the current quarterback battle going on in Denver, head coach Sean Payton announced that no matter who wins the battle between passers, Zach Wilson, Jarret Stidham, and the recently drafted Bo Nix, that Denver will keep one thing plain and simple from Week 1 to Week 18, and that is, the snap. Payton said he would like to see all three quarterbacks be in the same rhythm when in the process of snapping the ball in order to help the offense stay in tune no matter who is behind center. After that, whoever is named starter and the better option to start Week 1, will have the gameplan revolved around their specific skillset. Nix, so far has turned heads at Broncos training camp, we will have to wait and see how he plays in the preseason to see if he secures the job when Denver opens up the season at Seattle.
