Team USA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Move to 3-0 in Group Play

Both USA Basketball teams were in action over the weekend in their final group play games of the Paris Olympics. The Men would be on Saturday taking on Puerto Rico, and the Women on Sunday taking on Germany.

Starting with the Men, they would cruise to a victory towards the end of the game with Puerto Rico, winning 104-83, Anthony Edwards would be the leader in points scored coming off the bench to add 26, Joel Embiid would also score 15 points. And Jayson Tatum would bounce back from his rather cold star against South Sudan, scoring 10 points, and collecting 10 rebounds.

Team USA Men will move on to the quarterfinal round and play Brazil on Tuesday.

On to the women’s side they would have a similar result, defeating Germany 87-68. The duo of Aj’a Wilson and Breanna Stewart would show out again scoring 14 and 13 points, but it would be Jackie Young coming off the bench to score 19 to lead the team. Every member of the team aside from Jewel Loyd, scored points in the game.

The USA Women, will move to the quarterfinal around, and will play Nigeria on Wednesday.
