Some more NFL Training camp and News Updates, as most teams’ first preseason game approaches.

-The continued offseason contract drama between the San Francisco 49ers, and wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk hit another chapter yesterday. Teams in the NFL were reported to have expressed interest to the 49ers seeing if they can make a deal to send Aiyuk to their team. The New England Patriots were named as one team, the Patriots lack star power in their receiver room and could use a playmaker like Aiyuk. The Cleveland Browns were also named as a team interested, looking to expand their arsenal of wide receivers/playmakers including Amari Cooper, Jerry Jeudy, Elijah Moore, and Cedric Tillman. San Francisco is listening to offers, and the Patriots seem to be the team in lead, after they were reported to be pursuing Aiyuk the last couple of months.

-The Kansas City Chiefs made kicker Harrison Butker the highest paid kicker in NFL History, signing him to a 4 year, $25.6 million dollar deal with $17 million guaranteed. Butker has been a consistent and clutch contributor to the Chiefs and their 3 Super Bowl wins, hitting a career field goal percentage of 89.1%.

-Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison has been formally charged after being arrested for drunk driving in July. Addison was charged with a DUI, after he was found asleep at the wheel and blocking traffic in California. His hearing with the Los Angeles County Court is scheduled for October 7th, and Addison could face some kind of suspension from the NFL once the legal proceedings are complete.
