Week 2 of the NFL Preseason is just about to begin, but some major headlines have developed in the mean time.

-Minnesota Vikings Wide Receiver Jordan Addison was seen being carted off the practice field as the team had joint practices with the Cleveland Browns this week before their preseason game on Saturday. Addison attempted to jump for a catch in the endzone when he fell awkwardly with a Browns defender, Addison would shoot up trying to limp it off, but it would not help. A cart would assist Addison off the field, leaving Viking fans wondering how an unlucky offseason could get any worse. The good news with this, is according to Head Coach Kevin O’Connell, the injury is not considered serious, and Addison shouldn’t have to miss significant time. Addison may also still be awaiting the news of his punishment from the NFL after he was arrested for a DUI in July.

-Per Reports, the Buffalo Bills may be without one of their star defenders entering the 2024 season. Linebacker Matt Milano is said to have suffered torn biceps that will keep him out of the Bills lineup indefinitely. Injuries have been a frustration for Milano who missed a great deal of time last year with a broken leg he suffered early in the season.

– New York Jets starting Quarterback Aaron Rodgers gave his thoughts on the preseason after he was asked multiple times if he would be suiting up at any point at all before the regular season starts. Rodgers replied saying, “Preseason is not what it used to be, It’s to see if young guys – once the lights go on and the pads go on and the tackling happens — if they can show up or if they don’t. What’s there to gain? Going out there and being back on the field in a situation where you can get hit.”

-Los Angeles Rams starting quarterback Matthew Stafford is also in the news after he had to leave practice with a hamstring injury. Stafford was seen on the sidelines watching practice conclude, and the team and medical staff believe that Stafford will not miss significant time with the injury.

Week Two of the preseason will also kickoff on Thursday night, with a Superbowl rematch of the Philadelphia Eagles taking on the New England Patriots.
