Roster moves are firing in all directions as the first week of the NFL approaches. Teams are trimming down to 53 players, and other players who were cut are getting chances to sign somewhere else in order to get another opportunity to play in the league. Here’s some headlines making their way around the NFL.

-Former Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets running back Dalvin Cook will sign with the Dallas Cowboys and will be placed on their practice squad roster.

– Recently cut Minnesota Vikings former first round draft pick Lewis Cine has already found a new team after he was cut from the team. Cine had a good preseason for the Vikings but lack of production from him during the regular season led to the Vikings wanting to head in another direction. Cine would sign with the New York Jets with a second chance to revive his career.

-The Pittsburgh Steelers have named their starting quarterback for the upcoming season. Former Super Bowl Champion Russell Wilson will take the starting nod for Pittsburgh with Justin Fields in the backup spot.

– The New England Patriots will announce their starting quarterback…. tomorrow. Head Coach Jerod Mayo said he has made his decision, but wants to wait until Thursday to inform the team and the rest of the league/fans.

-And recently signed Miami Dolphins wide receiver/free agent Odell Beckham Jr. will be out at least the first four weeks of the season with an injury the team would not reveal.
