The Veterans Honor Flight on North Dakota and Minnesota sent two separate planes in a “Double Honor Flight” from Hector international Airport to the nation’s capital on Sunday morning.
Each plane carried between 100 and 110 veterans, with a total number of 215 making the trip. The veterans will spend today and tomorrow visiting historical sites around Washington D.C. and be thanked and recognized for their service during the trip.
The Veterans Honor Flight committee invites people to the airport for the welcome-home service between 5:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
