9-man High School football has a shakeup in the rankings this week, as expected, after #5 Linton HMB handled #4 South Border at home last Friday Night 48-13. All other teams in the Top 5 coasted to victories, but after the South Border loss, a new team has made an appearance in the Top 5.
The 9-Man Polls goes as shown:
- Lamoure-LM
- New Rockford Sheyenne-Maddock
- Westhope/Newburg/Glenburn
- Linton-HMB
- Central McClean
Also receiving votes was Hankinson and North Border.
The Top 3 could be interchangeable at this point, all teams have consistent high scoring defenses, and no point allowing defenses. Linton HMB jumped into the 4 spot after the win against South Border, and Central McClean is making an appearance now in the 5 spot. South Border WILL have a chance to sneak back into the Top 5 this week, as they will play host to #5 Central McClean this week after they were beaten handedly last week. Can South Border bounce back?
