The Jamestown and Stutsman Development Corporation Board of Directors approved vacating two acres in the JMS Aviation Park near Jamestown Regional Airport for an indoor hitting facility for youth baseball and softball. The JSDC would recoup 70 cents per square foot for the infrastructure development, which comes to a total of about $61,000. Matt Perkins is listed as the applicant for purchasing the lot and serves as the current president of JAYBAL and owner of MHC Properties. Perkins plans to construct a 100-by-60-foot building to house and indoor hitting facility on the two acres.
