A Minot man will spend the next 25 years behind bars as part of a “rule eleven” plea deal on a murder charge. The Ward County state attorney’s office says 35-year-old Casey Vollmer will serve half of a 50-year sentence and will also pay close to six-thousand-dollars in restitution. Vollmer was charged in the death of 57-year-old Albert Granger in a northwest Minot hotel in February 2023. Vollmer pled guilty in May.
