The Minnesota Lynx beat the New York Liberty last night, 95-93, to take Game 1 of the WNBA Finals. The Lynx beat the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday to advance to this series, and the Liberty handled the Las Vegas Aces in four games to get to the Finals. In the best of five series, the Lynx need to win two more games to capture their fifth WNBA title. The Liberty have never won a WNBA championship but reached the WNBA Finals last season and lost to the Las Vegas Aces.
Game 2 of the series starts at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Barclays Center.
