A teacher in West Fargo will not be charged after shooting and killing a man outside of a church earlier this year. Prosecutors declined to press charges against 53-year old Don Barron Jr. who shot and killed 25-year-old Austin Storm outside of Prairie Heights Church on August 17. According to prosecutors, they reviewed footage that showed Storm assaulting another church member. Barron then allegedly intervened and eventually pulled out a gun and shot Storm. Prosecutors say it was in self defense. The decision comes after a meeting between prosecutors and Storm’s family on Thursday.
