Jamestown Public School Board Approves Vote for Enrollment and Boundary Study

By Patrick McColl Oct 22, 2024 | 1:40 PM

In a 7-1 vote, the Jamestown Public School Board approved a vote that will allow for an enrollment and boundary study from RSP & Associates.

Using a cohort projection model, enrollment in Jamestown is projected to decrease to about 1800 students before stabilizing in about eight to 10 years. The study will examine enrollment changes and how boundaries may need to change, as well, to fit the needs of the district. The study will give the district information on any building or school changes, so the district will be able to inform families of any changes to their child’s school or classroom.

The estimated cost of the study is $29,000.
