North Dakota Parents on Board with Age Restrictions for Social Media

By Patrick McColl Oct 23, 2024 | 3:00 PM

According to a survey by Test Prep Insight, parents in North Dakota believe the age limit for having a social media account should be 16.

This is above the national average from the survey, which showed that the average parent in the U.S. believed children shouldn’t be allowed to own social media until the age of 14. According to the survey, 83% of parents expressed support for harsher penalties on social media companies that allow underage users to access their platforms.

About 50% said they have full access to their children’s accounts and regularly monitor them.
