After a hot start against the University of Jamestown earlier in the week, the NDSU Bison Men’s basketball team hosted the Illinois State Red Birds, and a familiar face to the Bison and their fans.

The game was close, going down to the final 2 minutes tied 66-66, but the Bison would run out of gas, being outscored 11-2, to take the final loss of 77-68.

Jacari White kept up his impressive start to the season, leading the team in scoring with 27, a career high. Tajavis Miller also added 10 points, and Jackson Moni adding 9 points.

Boden Skunberg was going to make his return to Fargo after transferring to Illinois State in the offseason, but did not play, or have any stats that were reported on the stat sheet.

The Bison fell to 1-1 on the early college basketball season, and will travel to California next Monday to take on CSU Bakersfield.
