The Minnesota Timberwolves start the NBA Cup against the Portland Trailblazers at 9:00 tonight.
The NBA Cup is the second edition of the NBA’s in-season tournament, a contest in which the Los Angeles Lakers won last year.
The Wolves will play the Blazers again at 9:00 tomorrow, as well, before the second game of the group stage of the cup goes Friday night in Sacramento at 9:00. Minnesota is 6-4 so far this season, good enough for eighth in the Western Conference.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are 9-2 and hold the best record in the Western Conference.
