The Jamestown Regional Airport is expected to fall shy of 10,000 paid passenger boardings this year. The shortcoming is mostly due to the main runway closure, which has taken place for more than a month. Through October, the regional airport has seen almost 7500 paid passengers. In 2023, the airport had 869 paid passenger boardings in November and 945 in December.
If the airport gets 10,000 paid passenger boardings this year, it qualifies for the $1 million in entitlement funds from the federal Airport Improvement Program.
