The CDC is reporting 39 people are infected with the outbreak strain of E. Coli in 18 states. 15 people have been hospitalized and one person has died.
Minnesota is the only state included in the upper Midwest and current reports state that five people are sick. The E. Coli outbreak is linked to multiple brands of recalled organic whole bagged carrots and baby carrots sold by Grimmway Farms.
People with recalled carrots at home have been asked to throw them out or return them to the store.
