North Dakota Announces Class Moves for ’25 Football Season

As the season wrapped up in the Dakota Bowl last Friday, the State of North Dakota has announced some new reclassifications for certain teams entering next year’s football season.

These Teams will all play in a new class in next years season of North Dakota High School Football.

AAA

  • Triple A will welcome the defending AA State Champ West Fargo Horace next season after the Hawks defeated Red River in the Dakota Bowl.

AA

  • Double A will welcome TWO new teams to the class next season, with West Fargo Horace moving to AAA, and Valley City being moved down to Single A.
  • The two teams joining AA will be Class A Powerhouse Kindred, and Central Cass after both teams had impressive seasons this year, Kindred falling in the State Championship trying to get a repeat, and Central Cass who hung around throughout the Class A tournament.

A

  • Class A will welcome TWO teams next season, Valley City will move down from AA, and Sargent County will move up from 9-man.

9-Man

  • Sargent County will move up to Class A, no teams as far as we know will be joining the 9-man classification in ’25
