President-Elect Trump Names Agricultural Secretary, Key Farm Groups Respond

President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Brooke Rollins as the next Secretary of Agriculture, a pick that has sparked swift reactions from agricultural industry groups and leaders. Rollins, has ties to rural communities, and has received widespread congratulations and support from key organizations.

The National Sorghum Producers expressed optimism about her leadership, highlighting the importance of innovation in biofuels and grains.

Similarly, the National Corn Growers Association and the National Grain and Feed Association welcomed Rollins, emphasizing the need for strong policies to expand markets and strengthen the agricultural supply chain.

Growth Energy’s officials, highlighted Rollins’ potential to champion rural America’s energy and market expansion.

American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duvall cited Rollins’ prior collaboration with the Texas Farm Bureau and voiced confidence in her ability to support struggling farmers.
