Starting on January 1, local sales and use taxes are going up in several places in the Peace Garden State. Ashley will see a rise in local sales, use and gross receipts tax rate to 2% from 1%. Both Mandan and Turtle Lake will also see these same three rates increasing, but Mandan will have a jump to 2.25% from 1.75%. Turtle Lake will go from 2% to 3%.

Wahpeton will remove the maximum tax or refund cap of $50 and remove the 3% compensation discount for permit holders.
