After going 10-2 in the regular season, and rolling many opponents in their way, the NDSU Bison are prepping for another round of FCS playoffs with hope to win another national title to add to the storied trophy case located in Fargo.
Some rewards were given out for the regular season in the Missouri Valley Football Conference, and as expected NDSU has been featured.
Quarterback Cam Miller won the Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Player of the Year, after a regular season totaling 2300+ yards passing, 23 touchdown passes, while also rushing for 370 yards, and 7 scores on the season. While leading the Bison to a 10-2 season, and the second seed in the FCS playoffs.
Running back CharMar Brown also made a good impression in his first year with the Bison, winning the MVFC Newcomer of the Year, and Freshman of the year, rushing for 965 yards, and 14 touchdowns on the season. Brown was also named to the MVFC All-Second Team, along with his teammate kicker Griffin Crosa.
First year head coach Tim Polasek finished second in voting for Coach of the Year, losing to USD Head Coach Bob Nelson.
The Bison will play their first game of FCS playoffs this Saturday, playing host to the Abilene Christian Wildcats. The winner will move on to the Quarterfinals taking on the winner of #7 Mercer and #10 Rhode Island.
