A North Dakota judge is criticizing President Biden’s mass commutations and pardons he issues last week.
It’s reported that US. District Court Judge Daniel Hovland sent an email to the federal Department of Justice asking for explanations for commutations of sentences he and others in the state have issued. Hovland referenced his sentence of Hunter Hanson and David McAllister is separate fraud cases, along with a dozen drug traffickers convicted in North Dakota.
Judge Hovland requested explanations for how those cases were investigated and the decisions for the commutations and pardons were made.
Separately, U.S. District Court Judge Daniel Traynor said that he didn’t have a position on Biden’s actions.
