Interview with Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter head coach Logan Klitzke
After three losses to begin the season, the Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter Imperials put the pieces together for a big 67-40 win over Enderlin on Friday night.
“It was a good team win. All across, from my seniors all the way down to my eight graders.” NGS head coach Logan Klitzke said. “We worked hard as a team and we got it done.”
NGS (1-3) earned a big boost from senior guard Tristan Schaffner. The crafty scorer earned 28 points and hit two 3-pointers and six free throws.
“He’s a great team leader,” Klitzke said. “He’s bringing everyone along, treating them as family. He’s a good team leader.”
Enderlin (1-4) will be back on the hardwood in the Barnes County Tournament at Valley City State on Tuesday. Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter will rest until Jan. 17, when the Imperials host Medina-Pingree/Buchanan.
