The North Dakota State Bison relieved their eager fans with a win in the Lone Star State on Monday night, taking down the Montana State Bobcats 35-32 in the FCS National Championship game.
NDSU’s star pairing, quarterback Cam Miller and wide receiver Bryce Lance, were both key factors in the Bison’s first national title win since the 2021 season. Miller finished with 200 passing yards, two passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns. Lance’s nine receptions were complimented by 108 yards and a touchdown grab that ended the first half, giving the Bison a then 21-3 lead.
North Dakota State has now won 18 National Championships in program history, and 10 FCS National Championships. By giving Montana State a loss, NDSU’s 2019 team remains the only team in FCS history to have an undefeated, national championship season.
