There will be a few upcoming disruptions to mail and other government services.
A National Day of Observance has been declared for Thursday to honor former President Jimmy Carter, who died at the age of 100 on December 29. Mail services and government offices will be closed out of respect.
There will also be no mail or garbage service on January 20, the federal Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. That is also the date of the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump.
