Cass County Jail

A Fargo woman was sentenced to 19 years in prison Tuesday for driving her car into a crowd outside a nightclub last February.

Princess Leiyipei Gweh, 25, pleaded guilty in Cass County District Court to two counts of aggravated assault and one of reckless endangerment for the incident at the now-closed Cairo Restaurant and Bar. The incident occurred after 2 a.m. on Feb. 18, 2024, when Gweh, following a verbal altercation and fistfight, drove her vehicle into a group of people in the parking lot, injuring three. One victim suffered life-threatening injuries.

The plea deal reduced charges from attempted murder and others. Gweh apologized to the victims and her family, admitting she had been drinking and made poor decisions.
