The Jamestown City Council has approved a new commercial property development.

Heartland Heating & Cooling wants to purchase and develop the land at the Harold P. Bencsh Addition.   The City Council unanimously approved the purchase.   The proposal includes a new 12,000 square foot building, plus shops and condominiums.  The total purchase price is unknown but the land was likely purchased at a $2-$2.50 per-square-foot price.

Heartland Heating & Cooling must sell the property back to the city if the development doesn’t begin within 30 months of finalization.
