Jamestown Closer To Further Sewer System Improvements

Jamestown is getting closer to a further improved sewer system.

The City Council unanimously approved a letter in support of a grant application for the third phase of that ongoing replacement.   The first phase of that project was completed in 2023, with major construction and repair of a drain pipe near Taco John’s on the south side of town.  The second phase also replaced piping on the southwest side of town and was completed last year.

The city is seeking a grant through the North Dakota Water Commission fund for the third phase which includes storm sewers on the southwest side of town around Highway 281.

Mayor Dwaine Heinrich offered his approval for the plan.
