Sen. John Hoeven honored the North Dakota National Guard’s 817th Engineer Company in Jamestown Sunday for their year-long deployment supporting U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the southern border. Hoeven thanked the Guard members and their families for their service and honored the company’s achievements, including 62 Army Commendation Medals, 53 Army Achievement Medals, nine Volunteer Service Medals, and two Meritorious Service Medals. This marks the fourth NDNG unit deployed to the southern border since 2018.
