As first reported by the Jamestown Sun, Jamestown Regional Airport recorded 9,346 paid passenger boardings in 2024, falling just short of its 10,000-passenger goal due to a five-week main runway closure for rehabilitation. The shortfall will slightly reduce federal funding under new FAA rules. The airport, which offers United Airlines flights to Denver through 2027, is currently upgrading its TSA checkpoint with new CT scanning equipment and plans additional projects including a snow-removal equipment storage expansion and crosswind runway rehabilitation.
